Week 19: Immunity Challenge

Last week on Survivor Hamilton: Fire & Ice… What a week was Week 18, full of controversy, multiple Immunity challenges, multiple tied votes, and ending with an epic fire-making challenge that sent Silas to the jury, and looks like it may have settled the FuegoHielo rivalry for now. But with a rushed Week 19, there’s no slowing down.

Ready to get to another Immunity Challenge? First things first we gotta take back the necklaces from Stef and Jordan. Immunity back up for grabs. For today’s challenge you will all lay face up in a cage in the water at low tide. As the tide rises, the water will move towards your faces and you’ll start to find it harder to breath against the bars, with the water in your face. This will cause people to quit, but also test their will to survive in this game. The last person in the cage wins Immunity. Let’s get started.

And so the 7 remaining castaways slid into the water, climbed under the bars and waited. The water was warm and mostly still, but it was definitely rising. At this point in the game everyone was very comfortable with the water, but not so comfortable with drowning, so this was going to get interesting. As the water reached their necks, their chins, then their mouths and noses, life got difficult. In fact the nose water got very specifically difficult for one castaway, and the first person eliminated from the challenge is…

He had been talking a big game about this one, so Jordan going out so quickly started to get to the other castaways. Nobody liked being claustrophobic, and nobody liked water in their noses, and soon another contestant dropped out. That contestant was…

Meg

With Jordan and Meg out, there were only 5 remaining. Stevie was holding her eyes tight, trying not to think about anything other than her breath. Stef could feel that she was running out of it. And Rebecca, who felt this was her challenge to win, suddenly swam out from under the bar.

Rebecca

We were down to 4, and there was not much time left. As they all got to the point where they needed to take their last breath before they would be fully submerged, they said their prayers to the Survivor gods. Please let this be my challenge… But alas, one of them would drop out shortly thereafter…

Stef couldn’t handle this one, and were were down to 3 castaways, Alex, Stevie and Tyler, all desperate to win Immunity and the safety it brings. The next person to drop out of the challenge was…

Wanting to win a 2nd Immunity for so long, Alex finally came up gasping for air, pissed at herself for letting this one get by. So now we only had Stevie and Tyler left. Tyler was the only castaway in Relampago without an Individual Immunity win. Would this be his challenge? Stevie had felt very fortunate to get through last week’s tie with the numbers. But anything could happen from here on out Immunity was Immunity. And as Stevie and Tyler desperately held their breaths for as long as they could, waiting until the last possible second, one of them finally succumbed to their body’s need for Co2, and that person was…

stevie

Stevie! Angry at herself, but also really just needing to breath, Stevie lost Immunity, meaning that TYLER WINS IMMUNITY and safety from the vote at tomorrow’s Tribal Council.

tyler
