Last week on Survivor Hamilton: Fire & Ice… While the game was winding down for the last few Fuegos, it was the end of the line for the last Hielo, Alex, after Stevie won an extremely close Immunity Challenge.
We are down to the Final 4 – Jordan, Meg, Rebecca & Stevie – and this would be the most important Immunity Challenge yet to determine who will be sitting in the Final 2. The winner of this challenge will get to choose one person to join him/her next week in the Final 3, while the the remaining 2 will compete in a fire-making challenge at Tribal Council to earn their spot in the next Immunity Challenge.

This challenge would be a gruelling 3 part competition starting with each castaway needing to dig up 5 sandbags, then toss them into a basket which will release puzzle pieces. The first castaway to complete his or her puzzle will win Immunity and the all-important decision that goes with it.
Firstly, the late-afternoon sun was hot on their backs as they each dug and dug, knowing that losing this challenge could definitely mean any of them could go home this week. No more Hidden Immunity Idols, no more tied votes, simply 3 will stay and 1 will go. Rebecca took the early lead by digging out all her sandbags and starting to toss them. Jordan was next, while Meg and Stevie struggled, covered in sand and sweat.
Jordan was first to release his puzzle pieces, just as Meg let out a bit of faint self-encouragement as she found her 5th and final sandbag, and lifted her weakened frame out of the sand to begin her next task. Stevie – perhaps feeling the intense pressure of her game being in someone else’s hands – was getting very frustrated at herself. Lucky for everyone, Jordan couldn’t seem to get a handle on the puzzle. Despite a head-start, Rebecca was now beside him, working furiously to organize her puzzle pieces.

Meg now had tossed 4 sandbags in the hanging basket, but the 5th was proving to be very infuriating indeed, missing time and time again, allowing Stevie to finally catch her, while Jordan and Rebecca worked away at the puzzle. In fact Jordan and Rebecca also worked to wrestle control of the game from Meg and Stevie. They were all in the same alliance, but Meg and Stevie had done a lot of the social strategy from the start, and could face an advantage in the end because of it.
But when Meg finally released her puzzle pieces, Jordan and Rebecca stayed focussed on the task at hand, each knowing that a loss here could very likely mean the end of their respective games. But finally one person would place the final piece, earning their spot in the Final 3, and the decision that could be the difference between the title and literally nothing for 2nd place. That person was…

REBECCA WINS IMMUNITY and must immediately choose who would join her, and who would make fire at Tribal Council later tonight. What a turnaround for Rebecca from the start of the game, and she won with a nice picture with the kids too, so it was extra heart-warming. But onto the task at hand. The decision would of course prove to be a painful one for Rebecca because she had worked with all 3 of her tribemates since the beginning, which was 5 months ago! Additionally, it was clear to Rebecca that Stevie and Meg were likely to take eachother to the Final 2, while betraying her Hanson alliance with them and choosing Jordan would be the ultimate sacrifice to win $100, but may go against her character. Ultimately a choice would have to be made, and Rebecca chose to save…

So Meg also has a spot in the Final 3, meaning that Jordan and Stevie would next face off in a “first to make fire” sudden death challenge.
