READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

This is an Individual Reward Challenge for all players in the game. You are playing for a SECRET ADVANTAGE that will be revealed to the winner only. The winner of this advantage will not be announced, and will remain secret. But trust me that this is a major advantage that you’ll be grateful you won when the time comes…

To win the Reward Challenge, you must find as many hidden words as possible from the below word search within the time allotted. The player that sends me one single WhatsApp message containing the greatest number of discovered words between now and 1:30pm EST will win the Reward. Remember, only send one message containing all the words you find, send 2 and you’ll be disqualified. If two players send the same amount of words, the time of submission will be taken into account. The winner will be the player that sends the most correct words in the shortest time.

To help you out, the theme of the word search is cooking tools. The words are hidden vertically, horizontally and diagonally – both forwards and backwards. Find as many as you can!

So I learned my lesson and won’t be doing word searches again. I offered MORE instructions than the book I used, but still understood very quickly that this was a very hard challenge to explain.

In the book, accompanying the above picture, the instructions read: “Kitchen Utensils: All the words are hidden vertically, horizontally or diagonally – in both directions.” That’s it. Then it provided the following list of words:

Now as you can see, I was aiming to see how many of those words could be found, but I didn’t properly explain that to everyone. So what I did was try to clarify for everyone as best I could, and then as the answers came in I just cross-referenced this list to make it at least consistent for everyone. There are 29 words listed there, and 4 players got over 20 of them.

The winning player got 26 of the words above, only missing CUTLERY, MIXER, AND WAFFLE IRON. If you think that your response contained MORE of the above words, and it was submitted to me BEFORE 1:19pm EST, please let me know asap and we can discuss.

I understand that this challenge was not ideal, but I can look at all the answers and honestly say that this one player clearly did a better job with the spirit of the challenge, and so I have no issues whatsoever with saying that they did the best job and deserve the win.
