A few days after Elliott and Andre were voted out in a rare double elimination, our players were surprised yet again with news that the Immunity Challenge would be for individual immunity. That meant that Kobara, Nevala and Ulloo would each be voting out one player tonight, though they would not be leaving the game…
The three voted out players would compete in a challenge on Wednesday, with the winner getting the chance to select whether they rejoin Kobara, Nevala, or Ulloo. The 2nd place finisher will choose between whichever two remain, while the last place finisher will be stuck with whoever’s left. Then, the push to the merge begins for real.
With Kyle winning Individual Immunity, it was pretty clear that one of the other 5 players would be voted out of Kobara tonight. On the weekend Kobara had been all over the place, 7 individuals trying to follow their own instincts, no one in a truly cohesive unit. After Elliott left, how would the remaining 6 come together for this vote? It was likely that it would come down to Sharon or Dave.
With the two ex-Nevala players only recently joining Kobara, and with both of them voting for different players on the weekend, they had been separated, and only one would be able to maintain a relationship with the rest of the group. It would come down to who the majority trusted more, Sharon or Dave. Or at least it would come down to who in the majority has the most power to sway the others.
So let’s get to Kobara’s vote. Though there was expected to be at least one hidden immunity idol in play, no one would be silly enough to use it on a non-elimination vote. And now, for the results…

That’s 2 votes for Dave, and 1 vote for Chelsea.

Fourth Vote:

That’s 3 votes Dave, 1 vote Chelsea.

Fifth Vote:

By a vote of 5-1, the player voted out of Kobara is Dave. Sorry buddy, couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. But at least you’re not out of the game. Yet. Now what about Nevala – would the vote be as cut and dry as Kobara’s?
It was no secret that Chris, James, Jon and Peter were part of an alliance. It was an alliance of guys willing to stab eachother in the back, but for now, they were still working together. That left Amanda and Graham on the outside, needing to put a lot of effort in to find a crack. They definitely were putting the work in, and had managed to find some inroads, but the problem was they were running out of time.
Next time Nevala lost, one of them would likely be voted out, so with this unique Tribal Council format, it was time for them to actually ASK to be voted out. Moving to either Kobara or Ulloo could give them the fresh start they needed to get further in the game, but the majority of 4 would also need to decide what was best for their games. Whoever left could very well be reconnected with them later in the game, so this favor may need to be reciprocated.
Let’s see how they voted…

By a vote of 5-1, Nevala has voted out Graham, who will join Dave in Wednesday’s competition for the all important choice of where to end up. Now let’s see what Ulloo cooked up!
Life was complicated on Ulloo. April had waged a game-long war with Ruth and Sasha, and it was looking like tonight could be the night when one of them was finally vote out. But with the twist, the final verdict would still need to wait for another day. It was assumed that Bryan and David C. would be sticking together, especially with David C. likely being in bed right now.
April had voted with them last time Ulloo was at Tribal Council, which had probably earned their trust, meaning that either Sasha or Ruth would be facing the majority. So could they force a tie by swinging Paul over? As mentioned in the last post, Paul had been part of the vote that sent Bryan and David C.’s friend Silas home – so that could definitely play a factor. This vote was a long time coming for the three ex-Nevala players, so let’s get to it!

Second Vote:

Third Vote:

That’s 2 votes for Ruth, and 1 vote for April.
.
Fourth Vote:

We’re tied. 2 votes for Ruth and 2 votes for April.
.
Fifth Vote:

That’s 2 votes for Ruth, 2 votes for April, and 1 vote for Sasha. 1 vote left…
.
Sixth Vote:

We’re all tied up! 2 votes apiece for Ruth, April and Sasha.
So here’s what’s going to happen – we’re going to do a re-vote. Ruth, April and Sasha will not vote. Bryan, David C. and Paul can only vote for one of those three. The player with the most votes after the re-vote will become our third castaway to compete in tomorrow’s challenge.
Here are the results of the re-vote!

Second Vote:

So by a vote of 3-0, Sasha will join Dave and Graham in tomorrow’s all-important challenge to determine where all 3 players continue their game. It was looking clear to everyone that Nevala (with their strong alliance) was a less than ideal destination; so would this be a battle for a spot on Kobara or Ulloo?
I will be providing more information to Dave, Graham and Sasha about tomorrow’s activities. For the rest of you, enjoy Wednesday off, but keep an eye on the site for a reveal of Wednesday’s results. Thanks for following along!
