Immunity Challenge #14

Previously on Survivor Hamilton: Old Meets New
A couple of the most tumultuous weeks in Survivor Hamilton history culminated in a twist that would provide 3 players with the option of whether to join Kobara, Nevala, or Ulloo for this final push to the Merge. Sasha decided to stick it out with Ulloo. Graham left a very uncertain situation on Nevala to re-join Kobara. Finally, Dave was stripped of the choice, and was sent back to Nevala where he came from! Now the game begins again, with no more controversy I’m sure!

Let’s get right to today’s Immunity Challenge.

With 6 players on each team the game finally felt fair. With a Tribe Swap, a surprise double-vote, and a long-planned 3 player flip all completed, these groups of friends and strangers would need to find more unity than ever. Nobody wanted to get voted out just before the merge, and with that event’s timeline a total secret, there was a feeling that it could happen any day. So if there was ever a time to work on Immunity Challenge strategy it was now.

Take a look at all the challenges we’ve done, ask yourself what you can improve on as an individual and as a group, and you’ll improve your chances of getting to the individual portion of the game. I wish you all luck. You’ll need it.

Here’s the question that our players were given to answer as quickly as possible:

On each of your Player Profile Pages I kept track of the order in which all 30 players signed up for this season of Survivor Hamilton; for example Silas was the 13th player to sign up as you can see below:

siEach player in this Immunity Challenge needs to send me their own “Signed Up” position as quickly as possible.

As expected with an easy question like this, and 3 hours of waiting for it, the answers started pouring in at amazing speeds – making the importance of sending only one message even more definitive. The fun thing would also be that some players would remember their number offhand, while others would need to look it up. Even worse, some players could think they knew their number and end up getting it wrong. Getting your number wrong at this stage would be devastating!

So the first answer in today came from Chelsea who rebounded from the last challenge, and got Kobara on the board. Following Chelsea was Jon, who continued his three weeks of dominance. Kyle (who could easily remember that he registered 1st overall!) rounded out the top three.

Kobara: 2
Nevala: 1
Ulloo: 0

James had his second strong finish in a row in 4th place. Graham made a triumphant return to Kobara in 5th place, and was immediately followed by his much cooler than him wife April who got Ulloo on the board. This was obviously all happening in but an instant.

Kobara: 3
Nevala: 2
Ulloo: 1

Peter and Dave then chimed in with correct answers putting Nevala in the lead. Cowin then tied Kobara back up with Nevala, with another middle of the pack performance. But why was Ulloo so slow? Remember, we’re looking for 6 points.

Kobara: 4
Nevala: 4
Ulloo: 1

Jordan put Kobara in the lead with a correct answer, inching them closer to a much desired victory. Then in a very timely sequence, Sasha and Ruth simultaneously punched their tickets for Ulloo. Now that it’s looking closer, and Kobara is only one point away from victory, it was coming down to the wire!

Kobara: 5
Nevala: 4
Ulloo: 3

Then in a glorious moment for the snakes, Sharon got her answer in, and Kobara could let out a sigh of relief…

Kobara wins Immunity! Who would join them in safety and a beautiful weekend away from Tribal Council?

In 14th place, Amanda correctly answered, giving Nevala their 5th point. With Ulloo at 4 points, things were looking dire for the owls. Then, within moments of eachother, the remaining answers arrive on your host’s phone. Bryan limped in with an uncharacteristically slow answer in 15th. David C. answered next for Ulloo, which is understandable because it was much later at night for him. This was the latest challenge yet I believe, sorry! Then, just as he completed a delicious looking meal from a virtual cooking course, Paul finally got his response in. Wait, that’s 6 for Ulloo!!!

Ulloo wins Immunity! Wow that was unexpected. Ulloo definitely seemed like they were destined for a loss, but they did it. So am I missing anybody?

Kobara: 6
Nevala: 5
Ulloo: 6

Oh yeah.

Chris!

Yes I forgot to mention that Chris answered a split second after Chelsea, which would have put him in 2nd place. Inexplicably, Chris answered that he was the 5th player to sign up for Survivor Hamilton: Old Meets New, when clearly he was the 6th. That wasn’t hard to look up!

Somehow Chris probably had one White Claw too many, in the sun, in the pool, in an inner tube, and he just messed up. That mistake would be the difference, and at last we have a clear-cut Immunity Challenge result! We now can all rejoice that we have actual game developments to discuss with zero controversy! Well we can all rejoice but Nevala, because these guys have to go to Tribal Council on Saturday.

Bummer!

Poor Dave. He just went from Kobara to Nevala and how has to spend yet another weekend with me! It feels like it’s been every single Saturday all game. Sorry man!

Enjoy the rest of the week guys!
