Primary Skill: Endurance
In a realm where the ocean’s vastness met the dense mysteries of a jungle, there began the tale of a man named Cowin, whose endurance and curiosity would lead him into a perilous adventure.
The Awakening
Cowin awoke upon the sandy shore, his head throbbing, and his senses dulled by the unfamiliar surroundings. Like others, he had no memory of how he arrived. He noticed footprints leading into the jungle and the skeletal mast of a ship, a ghostly beacon against the horizon. Unlike some, Cowin chose to walk down the beach toward the ship’s mast, thinking that the person who left him might have done so intentionally, and he would go claim the boat for himself. He thought that the mast could be useful for shelter or rope, or many other things that a ship might provide.
The Shipwreck
Cowin arrived at the shipwreck alongside many other survivors, a gathering of lost souls. He decided to investigate the scene inside the ship, thinking that there might be something there to shed light on the questions that gave him a headache. He also wondered if there might be water or tools that could help provide for the survivors.
The Circle and the Storm
While many others stepped into the circle of bone-dust, Cowin also entered the circle. As a storm descended upon them, the wind howled, the lights went out, and a dark force began to mark those inside the circle. Cowin thought that it seemed safer inside the ship than out in the storm, and so he chose to remain in the ship for shelter despite the danger, unaware of the sinister power of the circle.
The Sinking Ship
Cowin found himself on the sinking ship, marked by the bone-dust circle. He was experiencing a throbbing pain in his head, and his thoughts were twisted by the sinister energy of the circle. The ship groaned with a tortured shriek, and the deck began to tilt dramatically as waves poured in. The island, his only hope, had vanished. Cowin must now decide on his next course of action, unsure of what will lead to safety in this strange and perilous land, as the ship continues to sink beneath his feet.
