Primary Skill: Resourcefulness

In a realm where the ocean’s vastness met the dense mysteries of a jungle, there began the tale of a woman named Mayo, whose resourcefulness and fear would lead her into a most unusual and perilous adventure.

The Awakening
Mayo awoke upon the sandy shore, her head throbbing, and her senses dulled by the unfamiliar surroundings. Like others, she had no memory of how she arrived. She noticed footprints leading into the jungle and the skeletal mast of a ship, a ghostly beacon against the horizon. Unlike some, Mayo chose to walk down the beach toward the ship’s mast, reasoning that, even though there was a higher chance of finding water in the jungle, she hated bugs and could not see well there. She also thought the mast could be part of an actual ship with usable supplies.

The Shipwreck
Mayo arrived at the shipwreck alongside many other survivors, a gathering of lost souls. She felt that she had endured a rough walk to get there and wanted to see if there was anything useful within, so she chose to investigate the scene inside the ship.

The Marked Circle
Mayo, driven by her curiosity, was among those who entered a circle of bone-dust within the ship. A storm struck, and Mayo was “marked” by a dark force. Despite the danger, she chose to grab what she could and attempt to head back to the beach, also managing to grab a length of thick rope from the ship’s rigging. Her reasoning was that she was in pain and afraid and needed to keep calm. Running and leaving her group was a clear mistake, and she thought staying where something was hurting them was not an option.

The Strange Behavior
Mayo found herself on the shore with a group of players who had fled the shipwreck. But she and the other marked players were exhibiting strange behavior, with their eyes seeming distant and their movements hesitant. The humming from the jungle intensified around them, and their whispers were barely audible. Mayo must now decide on her next course of action, unsure of what will lead to safety in this strange and perilous land, and what influence the mark might have on her choices and fate.
