Primary Skill: Endurance

In a realm where the ocean’s vastness met the dense mysteries of a jungle, there began the tale of a man named Paul, whose endurance and desire for safety would lead him into a most unusual and perilous adventure.

The Awakening
Paul awoke upon the sandy shore, his head throbbing, and his senses dulled by the unfamiliar surroundings. Like others, he had no memory of how he arrived. He noticed footprints leading into the jungle and the skeletal mast of a ship, a ghostly beacon against the horizon. Unlike some, Paul chose to walk down the beach toward the ship’s mast, reasoning that it was the easier and safer choice as he was still getting his bearings on the island. He felt it seemed like a bad idea to go “guns blazing” the first moments arriving on the island.

The Shipwreck
Paul arrived at the shipwreck alongside many other survivors, a gathering of lost souls. He felt that it seemed the best option to see what was there, as he had made the decision to come to the ship, and that climbing the mast seemed reckless, so he chose to investigate the scene inside the ship.

The Marked Circle
Paul, driven by his need to explore the ship, was among those who entered a circle of bone-dust within the ship. A storm struck, and Paul was “marked” by a dark force. Despite the danger, he chose to grab what he could and attempt to head back to the beach. His reasoning was that he was hoping to get something from the ship, but knew they should leave, since the storm may consume the ship.

The Strange Behavior
Paul found himself on the shore with a group of players who had fled the shipwreck. But he and the other marked players were exhibiting strange behavior, with their eyes seeming distant and their movements hesitant. The humming from the jungle intensified around them. Paul must now decide on his next course of action, unsure of what will lead to safety in this strange and perilous land, and what influence the mark might have on his choices and fate.
