Before The Show Starts

A few weeks before Episode 1, the 24 castaways will be split into 2 tribes and posted on the Castaways page. At this time, each castaway will be provided with the contact information of their tribemates. From this point forward, you are free to connect with each other and make alliances. Just what is an alliance? If the goal is to win the game, then you need to ensure that the other competitors are not voting for you. Group up with a majority to ensure your survival. Not in a majority? Try and flip someone and make a majority. That’s part of the fun!

Sunday-Tuesday: Immunity Question

Each week, between Sunday morning at 12:01am and Tuesday Night at 11:59pm, we will post an Immunity Challenge. This challenge will come in the form of an opinion question, like: “What one item would you bring with you to a deserted island?”. Once this published on survivorhamilton.ca the castaways will each have until 11:59pm on Tuesday night to text our Host their answer. Your answers will be stored for later use,  the date and time of each response will be recorded.

The first tribe that has all castaways respond will win Immunity for the week, also ensuring they will not have to attend Tribal Council. But we will get to that later. For now, you may be asking: “How this is a competition?” Well, by checking the site regularly you will have a better chance at catching the Immunity Challenge post right away. Because the goal is to win the game, and you don’t want to be voted out, you want to help your tribemates also respond quickly so that your tribe wins. That way you get the rest of the week off, and survive another week.

So check the site regularly, answer the question quickly, help your tribemates do the same, and you won’t have to go to Tribal Council. But how will you find out who wins?

Wednesday: Immunity Challenge Episode

Each week on Wednesdays, we will post the results of the Immunity Challenge. This may occasionally happen on Thursdays. As stated before, the results of the Immunity Challenge will be based on the times at which the contestants previously responded to the Immunity Question. They will be written like a challenge had occurred, with details of the action, as well as congratulations for contestants that responded most quickly, and call-outs for those who responded last. Remember, if you don’t respond at all, your tribe will lose the Immunity Challenge outright, and you will be roasted.

The Statistics page will be updated regularly, so contestants can identify their best performers. This is important, because while you may have alliances to get you farther in the game, its also important to keep your tribe strong so you don’t need to go to Tribal Council as often. So check the site and answer as quickly as possible!

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this introduction. Post any questions in the Comments section below and our Administrators will respond promptly.

    1. Thank you for your question Andrew. You can always leave your Tribal Council vote with your host ahead of time if you won’t be available to provide your vote, but you must always answer the Immunity Challenge question in the time provided. This can be done through text or email.

    1. Thank you for your question. Feel free to use your first name or a nickname when leaving comments so we can know who you are!

As we are currently explaining the rules of the game, there will be a fair amount of reading leading up to the game. Once the game begins, there will be blog posts in the form of episodes, and the very important information will be highlighted for your attention. We will aim to keep the posts short and sweet, but what else would you expect? We aren’t filming the game, we are writing it for you. So you will need to have some level of attention to the game to play and be successful.

You can also contact your host directly to talk game at any time 24/7.

  1. Is it possible have the website password protected so all the details don’t show up when a future disgruntled employer google’s my name?

    1. Thank you for your question. Feel free to use your first name or a nickname when leaving comments, as we will not be using anyone’s last name at any point. Additionally, Survivor Hamilton has paid for this site and has full control over what is and isn’t public. If at any point a contestant requests their name or picture removed from the site, we will do so.

    2. In addition, there will be no need for signing in or for a password. Your email will be shared with your tribemates, but it will be up to you to share your phone number with them. When playing for Immunity or voting at Tribal Council, you will work directly through email and text with your host, whom you have met in person and can trust to not be a snitch to your disgruntled employer.
