Survivor Hamilton Preview: Part 2

Welcome back to our preview of Survivor Hamilton. We pick up after Wednesday’s Immunity Challenge, where one tribe lost and will need to attend Tribal Council.

Thursday-Friday: Tribal Council

As soon as the Immunity Challenge post is published on Wednesday, and the winning and losing tribes are announced, members of the losing tribe can submit their votes via text to your host.

The object of this portion of the game is to NOT be voted out. Presumably you have made connections with your tribemates, and you may have even made alliances. You should also check the Statistics page to see how your tribemates are performing in Immunity Challenges. It’s important to keep your tribe strong, so you have two main strategies to consider:

Keep your Tribe strong. Vote out the tribemate who is clearly underperforming in the challenges to give your tribe a better shot of winning next week and beyond, thereby keeping you in the game.

Who do you trust? Another strategy is to form a majority in your tribe and create an alliance. If you always have the numbers on your side, you should be safe. Don’t have the numbers on your side? Try and flip someone to gain a majority, that’s the game!

Your host will be accepting votes from any time after the Immunity Challenge up to 11:59PM on Friday night each week. If your tribe lost the Immunity Challenge, you MUST vote at this time.

Important notes:
– Your host will be mildly proactive with a reminder to vote, but if you do not vote in this period, your vote will flip to yourself. So if Adam forgets to vote, his vote will go against Adam
– If you forget to vote a second time, all other votes will be cancelled out, and you will be unanimously eliminated.
Hidden Immunity Idols: At some point in the game, a castaway may find a Hidden Immunity Idol.  This is an individual immunity idol for one-time use that will cancel out any votes cast against the user. The user can also use it to protect someone else. The user will inform the host during the voting period they they wish to use their Hidden Immunity idol.

Saturday: Tribal Council Episode

The results of the vote will be revealed on Saturdays in a post published sometime during the day or previous night. We will add a little colour to the proceedings in the style of a regular tribal council, and then all of the votes will be revealed. If a Hidden Immunity Idol was played, that will be revealed before the reading of the votes, thus cancelling out any votes cast against the user.

In the event of a tie, there will be a revote on Saturday, where all votes must only be for those involved in the tie. Those 2 or more tied castaways will not vote. If a castaway does not vote in the revote, there is no punishment. All votes received by the host on Saturday will revealed in a special Sunday episode. If the votes remain tied, the two originally in danger are now safe, and the others will “draw rocks”, meaning one castaway will be randomly eliminated. Do not let it go to a tie!

Finally, one castaway will be eliminated and we will come back around to another Immunity Question, posted sometime between Sunday and Tuesday. We will continue this process until halfway through the game, when the tribes will merge and Tribal Immunity Challenges will be replaced by Individual Immunity Challenges. More information will be posted about these in the future.

So that’s the average week in Survivor Hamilton! As always, post your questions below (please leave your name!) and more content will be posted in a few days.

    1. Thank you for your question Anonymous! How much time you put into the game is up to you. The requirements are as follows:
      – between Sunday-Wednesday, read one short post and text your answer to the opinion question to your host as soon as possible
      – on Wednesdays I will post who which tribe won and which lost and if you lost, you will also be required to text your host the name of the castaway you wish to vote out.

That’s it. 1 or 2 touchpoints with your host per week. With technology, you can do that from anywhere these days.
