Tribal Council #21

Previously on Survivor Hamilton: Old Meets New
With so many personalities on Tendua, each with their own alliances and priorities, every Tribal Council from here on out was going to be exciting. Saturday’s was no exception as Ruth punched her ticket to the Jury, and two Idols left the game. Then, at a split Immunity/Reward Challenge, Paul won his first individual Immunity of the season, while we’d need to wait and see who won Reward.

As mentioned earlier, Paul was wearing the Immunity necklace today meaning that he would not be heading to the Jury. Everyone else was fair game. With Chris playing an idol for Peter last week, Kyle playing an idol for himself on Saturday, and Ruth admitting that she left he game with an idol, it would also seem that not many people would have ways of protecting themselves other than good old fashion strategy and relationship-building or nurturing. Paul was the only one that could feel safe.

Peter had to be worried since he’d already been previously targeted by at least 8 players, some of which would undoubtedly try targeting him again. His close allies Chris, James and Jon would also need to be prepared for the fact that another “alliance” could flip the script and target one of them instead to predict against an idol or advantage being used against an obvious vote of Peter. James had almost gone home on the 2nd vote, and had been safe since then – something I’m sure he wanted to keep up. Jon hadn’t been targeted once in the game, but was his time of good fortune running out? Chris would always be paranoid that he could be a target, and like Cowin before him he’d need to not let that paranoia get in the way of the good relationships he still had in the game.

Sharon and April were the only women left in the game, a fact that I wish weren’t true, and they were likely in two different situations right now. April had been working with Bryan, David C. and Paul since their time on Ulloo, plus with Jordan making the merge, and Graham coming back from Exile Island – she had options. Sharon on the other hand had been fighting for her life in this game from the very beginning. She worked closely with Kyle and Chelsea after the Tribe Swap up until the merge, when Chelsea was the first voted out, and Kyle caught 4 votes on Saturday. Was her time running out, or could she expand her circle and get with some of the other players? That’s what you need to do in this game; extend olive branches and offer your vote!

Speaking of Bryan and David C., you could consider their votes as pretty important tonight. While David C. was more of a quiet player due to the time zone, Bryan had needed to become more active than he’d normally like since Tendua was formed, and would now need to decide if another middle player would be sent to Jury, or if a major alliance was targeted. Bryan knew he had David C.’s vote, but since he’d built pretty strong relationships throughout the game, he’d likely need to break a bond today to keep his own momentum going in the right direction.

Only time will tell what the outcome will be, but would you look at that, the time is now! Check out our video Tribal Council immediately below, and a reading of the votes after that:

Once again, Paul has Immunity and cannot be voted for. So before I read the votes, we first need to see if any player is using a Hidden Immunity Idol to protect themselves tonight…

Nope! No idols for the first time since the merge. Let’s read the votes.

First Vote:
sharon-tendua

.

Second Vote:
peter-tendua

.

Third Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 2 votes for Sharon, and 1 for Peter.

.

Fourth Vote:
peter-tendua
We’re tied, 2 votes for Sharon, 2 for Peter.

.

Fifth Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 3 votes Sharon, 2 votes Peter.

.

Sixth Vote:
peter-tendua
We’re tied again, 3 votes Sharon, 3 for Peter.

.

Seventh Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 4 votes Sharon, 3 votes Peter.

.

Eighth Vote:
peter-tendua
We’re tied again, 4 votes Sharon, 4 votes Peter.

.

Ninth Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 5 votes Sharon, and 4 for Peter.

.

Tenth Vote:
peter-tendua
Again we’re tied. 5 Votes Sharon, 5 votes Peter.

.

Eleventh Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 6 votes Sharon, 5 votes Peter, and 1 vote left…

.

Twelfth Vote:
peter-tendua
We’re tied. 6 votes for Sharon and 6 votes for Peter, and we’re headed for another re-vote.

Here’s how it works. Sharon and Peter will not vote. The remaining 10 players will vote for either Sharon or Peter. If we are still tied, we go to rocks. If not, the player with the most votes will become the 3rd member of the Jury.

Let’s get to the re-vote shall we?

First Vote:
sharon-tendua

.

Second Vote:
peter-tendua

.

Third Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 2 votes Sharon, and 1 vote Peter.

.

Fourth Vote:
peter-tendua
We’re tied, 2 votes Sharon, 2 votes Peter.

.

Fifth Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 3 votes for Sharon, and 2 votes for Peter.

.

Sixth Vote:
peter-tendua
We’re tied again. 3 votes for Sharon, and 3 votes for Peter.

.

Seventh Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 4 votes for Sharon, and 3 votes for Peter.

.

Eighth Vote:
sharon-tendua
That’s 5 votes for Sharon, and 3 votes for Peter.

.

Ninth Vote:
sharon-tendua

That’s 6 votes for Sharon, and that’s enough. Sharon is voted out in 12th place and joins Chelsea and Ruth to become the 3rd member of our Jury.

Sharon gets my vote for ultimate Survivor at this point in the game because she had to work so hard on original Nevala, as well as making her mark on Kobara by secretly working with Chelsea and Kyle to eliminate Jonathan, Elliott, Cowin, and Graham. Thrown a curveball right off the start by being placed on Nevala with a bunch of strangers, Sharon worked her way into a majority alliance, taking out most of the “family” before continuing that trend after the Tribe Swap. A very strong social player, Sharon will be missed, but her contribution to the Jury’s final decision will be much appreciated. Thanks for finally playing Sharon! Enjoy the time off.

As for the Top 11 players… tomorrow is your next Immunity Challenge. The Top 10 is right around the corner, and the game is only going to get harder from here. Good night Tendua.

    1. Perhaps something for the Jury to discuss, wonder what it’s like over there. Cat fight? Seclusion? Gossip, paranoia and a general dislike toward ‘man’kind?

Maybe German should be voted off, just to start bringing some balance to the Jury.
