Previously on Survivor Hamilton: Old Meets New
Finally down to our Top 10, the majority of our players decided to compete in a Reward Challenge, while only Jordan and Paul competed head to head for Immunity. While the winner of Reward will remain secret (for now), Jordan won his first Individual Immunity of the season, and is guaranteed a spot in the final 9. Who will head to the Jury tonight?

Reaching the Top 10 is quite a milestone for each of these players, and they would all need to keep up the energy and effort if they were to make it to the Top 9 and beyond. At Tribal Council for Tendua tonight, Jordan would be the only player that knew for sure he was moving on, and that win was a long time coming. For the rest of the players, they’d need to trust both their short and long-term alliances. And this is a big area where Survivor Hamilton is different than the TV show – the players aren’t face to face. As we get further in the game, and some alliances aren’t as strong as other, trust is hard to come by.
And as real life responsibilities factor in, there are votes when nobody can truly be sure what’s going to happen. This may be one of those votes. Chris had voted with James and Jon each time since the Tribe Swap, but since Peter was voted out, would they begin to make their own plans? Jordan and Graham had worked together early in the game, but a controversial decision by Jordan had resulted in Graham heading to Exile Island for a few days. Was Graham now more of a “free agent”? April had worked with Bryan, David C. and Paul on Ulloo, but would she be making her own plans now?

Include Paul in that same scenario. He didn’t have one close ally the same way that others did, and would that put a target on his back or let him slip under the radar? Would David C. pick up his strategy game individually, or would he continue to mainly be a vote in Bryan’s corner due to the time zone and lack of free time? And what would Kyle do? He’s lost his closest allies, and received 3 votes against at the last Tribal Council. Would he be in danger today?
Nothing was certain for this Top 10, which is just the way we like it! The last time we played Survivor Hamilton, Fire & Ice battled it out (very clearly divided) all the way until the end. This time around, the lines have been blurred and nobody could 100% trust anyone other than themselves. And with idols and advantages out there, the result was even less certain. Shall we get to Tribal Council to see what happens? I think so…
Before we get to reading the votes, we need to determine if any player is using a Hidden Immunity Idol…
Wait.
What’s this?
Kyle isn’t using a Hidden Immunity Idol. but he IS using an advantage that he won on the day of the Merge!

This advantage allows Kyle to avoid tonight’s Tribal Council altogether. Which means he cannot be voted for, nor will he vote. He won’t even take part, and can simply have the night off. Good for him! Kyle has earned his spot in the Top 9.
Now, is anyone playing a Hidden Immunity Idol?

Yes! Jon decided to use a Hidden Immunity Idol that he just won on Monday!

Any votes cast for Jon will not count.
I’ll read the votes…

WAIT.
Bryan also decided that it would be a good time to use his Hidden Immunity Idol that he won around a week ago.

Any votes cast for Bryan will not count.
Now I’ll definitely read the votes.

Ninth Vote:

By a vote of 6–2-1, our more-British-by-the-day friend David C. is voted out and becomes the 5th member of our Jury.
David C. or just Cox came a long way from his 23rd place finish in Fire & Ice when he was just the 2nd player voted out of the game. After seeing his closest ally Silas voted out in that position this time around, David C. needed to find another close ally and was fortunate to be able to stick with Bryan for the whole game. He performed admirably in challenges all season long, despite the time zone difference, and may have kept going if not for 3 advantages being played today. Thanks again for joining bud, and I’m sure you’re ready to get this game off your brain with a new baby in the house!

As for our Top 9 – the game continues tomorrow!
